Homing the machine.
Homing the machine is when you send the X, Y and Z to the homing switches, this is crucial in producing precise parts and components. The machine knows its positioning in space due to mathematical calculations, on how far away it is from its homing switch.
How to home your machine.
It is extremely important to home the machine every time you power up the machine.
This is achieved by going to the main Mach3 screen set "program run".

(1) Below the "dro" digital readouts on the program run screen, you will see a button called "machine cord's". Press this button / turn it on, you will know that this is active when you see a red box around the button.

(2) Beside the "DRO" on the program run screen you will see a button called "ref all home". By depressing this button you will send all axis home to the homing switches.
If your set up file is correct your DRO will read +0.0000 for all axis.
(note)* if this your first time homing your machine, you must make sure that all axis are between the homing switches. If you are past any switch and you home you could damage your ballscrews / motor coupler. *Due to this fact we strongly suggest that the first time you home you should hover your hand over the mechanical Estop switch, and if in doubt hit the switch!
This can be easly achieved via pressing your "tab" key on your keyboard and manually jogging your axises to roughly each axis's center position then home.
